Our Projects

Our work in Mbuji-Mayi, DR Congo is producing real results — thanks to the dedication of our team and the generosity of our supporters. From establishing two clean water sources and renovating local schools to hosting teacher workshops and operating the Bishadi Children’s Home, each project meets urgent needs and empowers long-term change. We've also launched a tilapia farm pond and sustainable farming program to support local food security and economic growth. These are more than projects — they are steps toward a stronger, self-sufficient community.

The Water Projects: Wells I & II

In communities where clean water was once scarce, we’ve successfully installed two deep-water wells, bringing safe, reliable water to hundreds of families in Mbuji-Mayi. These wells have reduced waterborne illnesses, cut down long daily walks for water—especially for women and children—and brought new life to neighborhoods in need. Clean water is more than a resource here; it’s a foundation for health, dignity, and hope.

St. Etienne of Nyembue School Repair

We believe every child deserves a safe and inspiring place to learn. Through our school renovation projects in Mbuji-Mayi, we've repaired classrooms, replaced broken desks, restored roofs, and improved sanitation facilities. These upgrades have transformed neglected spaces into welcoming learning environments where students can focus, grow, and dream bigger. Renovated schools are not just buildings — they are beacons of hope for the entire community.

Bishadi Children’s Home

The Bishadi Children’s Home is a refuge of love, safety, and hope for orphans and vulnerable children in Mbuji-Mayi. More than just a shelter, it’s a family — where children receive not only food, clothing, and education, but also emotional support and spiritual guidance rooted in Christian values. Here, broken stories are being rewritten with care, purpose, and the promise of a brighter future.

Tilapia Farm Pond

Our Tilapia Farm Pond project is creating sustainable solutions to hunger and poverty in Mbuji-Mayi. By cultivating fresh fish locally, we’re providing a reliable source of protein for children and families, while also offering hands-on training in aquaculture. This initiative not only improves nutrition — it empowers the community with skills and income-generating opportunities that promote long-term self-sufficiency.
